Zutaten: (Vorschlagsmenge)

• 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
• 2 cups (about 300g) peeled and diced apples
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Zubereitung:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition to ensure everything is well incorporated.
5. Stir in the vanilla extract, mixing until evenly distributed.
6. Gradually mix the flour mixture into the butter and sugar, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
7. Gently fold in the diced apples and ground cinnamon, making sure they’re evenly mixed through the batter.
8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it out evenly.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
10. Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for a bit before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

For an extra touch, dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.
